About the Role
You will be responsible for the commissioning and ongoing management of mechanical services within this new Building, ensuring all systems operate safely, efficiently and in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
Key areas of responsibility include HVAC systems, ventilation, auxiliary plant, hydraulics and associated infrastructure.
This position combines strong technical capability with contractor coordination, governance oversight, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement preventative and reactive maintenance programs for HVAC and hydraulic systems to minimise downtime and extend asset life
- Coordinate and oversee mechanical services contractors, including procurement and contract performance management
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, codes, standards and policies
- Manage service disruptions with minimal operational impact
- Identify, assess and manage asset-related risks and emerging compliance issues
- Support asset management systems and reporting processes
- Drive continuous improvement in asset performance and service delivery
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure work health and safety compliance
- Strong knowledge of HVAC and building mechanical systems
- Experience in facilities, asset or building services management within complex environments.
- Proven contractor and stakeholder management experience
- Sound understanding of statutory compliance and risk management
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- A proactive and service-oriented approach
