A NSW Government department is seeking an experienced Executive Officer to support the Executive Director, Regulatory Capability and Harm Prevention within a fast-paced and high-profile environment.
 
This role will suit a confident and adaptable professional with strong executive support, strategic coordination and stakeholder management experience who can quickly build credibility and add value from day one.
 
About the Role
 
As the Executive Officer, you will act as a trusted partner to the Executive Director, providing high-level strategic advice, operational coordination and executive support to drive key priorities and organisational outcomes.
You will manage the Office of the Executive Director workflow and priorities, coordinate communications, prepare high-quality briefings and correspondence, and contribute to strategic projects aligned with agency objectives.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare executive correspondence, briefings, reports, submissions and presentations
  • Manage workflow, priorities and issues management for the Office of the Executive Director
  • Coordinate communications and stakeholder requests on behalf of senior leadership
  • Provide strategic and operational support across complex policy and business matters
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of strategic initiatives and projects
  • Manage sensitive issues with discretion, professionalism and sound judgement
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies
About You
  • Demonstrated experience in Executive Officer, Senior Advisor, Chief of Staff or executive support roles
  • Strong government writing skills, including briefs, reports and ministerial-style correspondence
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication capability
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong judgement, initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Professional, resilient and highly organised approach
  • Previous NSW Government experience highly regarded
