About the Role
As the Night Time Economy Project Officer, you will:
- Lead the delivery of precinct-based programs aligned with the NSW Government’s Purple Flag Program
- Build strong partnerships with local businesses, community groups, and internal stakeholders
- Design and implement marketing and engagement strategies to raise awareness of night-time economy initiatives
- Coordinate data collection, reporting, and evaluation to support ongoing precinct accreditation and improvement
- Develop tools to monitor and report on the impact of night-time activation efforts
- Manage working groups and deliver initiatives that support a safe, welcoming, and thriving evening environment
You are someone who:
- Thinks creatively, acts strategically, and thrives on collaboration
- Communicates confidently with community members, businesses, and stakeholders
- Has experience in project management, marketing, community engagement, or economic development
- Is passionate about shaping inclusive, safe, and vibrant spaces
- Can work flexibly, including occasional after-hours or weekend events
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Digital Media, Economics, or related discipline
- Strong stakeholder and community engagement experience
- Effective project coordination and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence
- Familiarity with the Purple Flag Program or night-time economy strategies
- Experience working in local government or in diverse community settings
- Understanding of data analytics and reporting
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity
