We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our Local Council team and contribute to the planning and design of large-scale road infrastructure projects. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver safe, sustainable, and effective road and drainage designs that make a real impact on our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Survey, investigate, and prepare design plans and cost estimates for roads, kerb and gutter, footpaths, stormwater drainage, traffic facilities, and carparks.
- Ensure all designs meet Council standards, regulatory requirements, and accepted engineering practices.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, government authorities, utilities, property owners, and community groups.
- Review external civil designs and carry out civil design for road and traffic assets.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time and in accordance with agreed performance targets.
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related field with minimum 5 year's experience
- Strong skills in 12D and AutoCAD, specifically in road and drainage design.
- Post-qualification experience in survey, investigation, and design for civil projects.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and engineering standards.
- Current Class C driver’s license.
- Commitment to teamwork and customer service.
