  • $36.11 p/h + Super
  • 4 Month Contract/Part Time

  • 14 hours per week (Thursdays and Fridays, potential for more hours as available)
About the Role

As a  Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for customers seeking assistance with government services. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality support, resolve inquiries, and provide accurate information on a wide range of services. Whether customers are accessing essential services or navigating complex systems, you’ll play a key role in ensuring they have a positive experience.

Key accountabilities include:
  • Respond to customer inquiries through multiple channels (phone, email, in-person) with professionalism, courtesy, and accuracy.
  • Provide clear and accurate information about government services, including licences, permits, registrations, and payments.
  • Assist customers in completing applications and forms, guiding them through processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints promptly and efficiently, escalating to the appropriate team or department as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of government policies, procedures, and services to provide informed assistance.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve individual and team targets, contributing to the overall success of the Service Centre.
About You
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and problem resolution.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with a wide range of customers.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle complex information accurately.
  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a contact centre or similar fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to achieve team goals.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality service to the people of NSW.
