As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for customers seeking assistance with government services. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality support, resolve inquiries, and provide accurate information on a wide range of services. Whether customers are accessing essential services or navigating complex systems, you’ll play a key role in ensuring they have a positive experience.
Key accountabilities include:
- Respond to customer inquiries through multiple channels (phone, email, in-person) with professionalism, courtesy, and accuracy.
- Provide clear and accurate information about government services, including licences, permits, registrations, and payments.
- Assist customers in completing applications and forms, guiding them through processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Resolve customer issues and complaints promptly and efficiently, escalating to the appropriate team or department as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of government policies, procedures, and services to provide informed assistance.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve individual and team targets, contributing to the overall success of the Service Centre.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and problem resolution.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with a wide range of customers.
- A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle complex information accurately.
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in a contact centre or similar fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to achieve team goals.
