About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Benefits Realisation Manager to play a critical role in a major Student360 (Salesforce) transformation program.

This position is responsible for ensuring the program delivers measurable business value by defining, tracking, and reporting on benefits from project inception through to post-implementation.

Working across multiple workstreams, you will partner with senior executives, business stakeholders, project teams, and the organisational change function to establish a robust benefits management framework that enables informed decision-making and ensures strategic objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities
Benefits Definition & Planning
  • Translate strategic business case outcomes into measurable and achievable business benefits.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage the program Benefits Register.
  • Define benefit KPIs, baselines, target measures, and success criteria.
  • Ensure benefits align with organisational strategy, program objectives, and portfolio performance measures.
  • Establish clear benefit ownership across business stakeholders.
Benefits Measurement & Reporting
  • Design and implement a comprehensive benefits measurement framework.
  • Establish new performance measures where existing metrics do not exist.
  • Partner with business and technical teams to identify appropriate data sources and reporting mechanisms.
  • Develop executive dashboards and reporting frameworks to monitor benefit delivery.
  • Produce regular reports demonstrating progress against agreed benefits and KPIs.
  • Provide insights to support executive decision-making throughout the program lifecycle.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build strong relationships with executive sponsors, business leaders, and delivery teams.
  • Facilitate workshops to identify, define, validate, and agree business benefits.
  • Drive stakeholder ownership and accountability for benefit delivery.
  • Promote a benefits-led and data-driven culture across the program.
  • Influence stakeholders to adopt consistent measurement and reporting practices.
Integration with Change & Project Delivery
  • Work closely with the Organisational Change team to embed benefits into change and adoption activities.
  • Ensure adoption metrics and business readiness activities support benefits realisation.
  • Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and delivery teams to ensure project outcomes directly support agreed business benefits.
  • Monitor benefit dependencies across multiple project workstreams.
Governance & Risk Management
  • Identify risks and issues that may impact benefits realisation, including data quality, business readiness, and user adoption.
  • Escalate key risks and recommendations through governance forums, including Steering Committee (SteerCo) meetings.
  • Ensure benefits remain aligned throughout changes in scope, priorities, or delivery timelines.
  • Support ongoing business case tracking and investment assurance activities.

Skills & Experience To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
  • Proven experience as a Benefits Realisation Manager, Benefits Lead, Portfolio Benefits Manager, or similar role on large-scale transformation programs.
  • Experience delivering benefits management within complex Salesforce, CRM, digital transformation, or enterprise technology programs.
  • Strong understanding of benefits realisation methodologies, business case management, and portfolio governance.
  • Demonstrated experience developing benefits frameworks, KPIs, performance measures, and executive reporting.
  • Ability to establish meaningful metrics where no existing measures currently exist.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting data and presenting insights to senior executives.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence senior business leaders and executive sponsors.
  • Experience working closely with organisational change teams to link business adoption with measurable benefits.
  • Strong governance, risk management, and reporting experience across complex program environments.
  • Excellent communication, workshop facilitation, and relationship management skills.
Highly Desirable
  • Experience working on Salesforce Student360, CRM, customer experience, or higher education transformation programs.
  • Experience within higher education, government, or other large, complex organisations.
  • Knowledge of project delivery methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid environments.
  • Experience using reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
