The Assistant Program Officer provides administrative, clerical, and program support to the teams assisting one or more of the NSW Health Professional Councils. This is a critical role contributing to the regulation of health practitioners across NSW, ensuring safe and high-quality care for the community.
Depending on your allocation, you may be responsible for one or more of the following areas:
- Managing complaints about health practitioners received by the Councils
- Administrative and secretariat support to ensure efficient management of Council functions
- Managing a caseload involving health practitioners with performance, conduct, or health-related concerns
Preferred Experience
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals with:
- Experience in data entry
- Experience in administration within legal, regulatory, or registration environments
- Exposure to administrative work involving contracts or commercial agreements(e.g., leases, trusts, franchise agreements) - highly regarded
- Familiarity with systems such as Salesforce
- Provide accurate and timely administrative and clerical support
- Assist with the management of complaints and case files involving health practitioners
- Prepare documentation, meeting papers, agendas, and minutes
- Maintain high-quality records and database entries
- Liaise effectively with internal stakeholders, Council members, and external parties
- Support compliance with legislative, policy, and regulatory requirements
