Administrative Assistant – Building and Engineering Assessment
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and highly organised Administrative Assistant to support the Manager of Building and Engineering Assessment. This is a 12-month contract covering a maternity leave position, offering the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, customer-focused local council team.
In this role, you will be the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including developers, builders and members of the public. You will assist in the smooth operation of the section by managing scheduling, preparing documents, and handling customer inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and events for the Manager.
- Draft, format, and manage documents and correspondence.
- Respond to customer phone calls and emails professionally and promptly.
- Gather and collate information to assist the Manager in running the business.
- Provide general administrative support to the Building and Engineering Assessment team.
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office suite and other computer software programs.
- Solid experience in an administrative or similar support role.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Customer-focused, with a professional and friendly approach.
