Fantastic role for our client whose primary purpose of the role is to 
identify emerging issues, coordinate and undertake analysis, research and evaluation initiatives that inform and improve dept-wide policy development, service reform and client outcomes and help deliver the objectives of dept and the NSW Government.

Key accountabilities
  • Undertake and lead specialist analysis, research and evaluation projects, to assess the impact of policy proposals, and program and service design and delivery initiatives.
  • Identify and define emerging issues which impact on the achievement of dept and the Government's objectives
  • Design and implement tools and processes to identify, analyse and facilitate improvements to dept policy development, program and service design and service delivery.
  • Maintain and enhance in-depth knowledge of analysis, research and evaluation methodologies and techniques that will ensure AHO services are delivered efficiently and that client and business outcomes are measured and reported.
  • Provide proactive and evidence-based advice to the business unit leader, Director and/or the Chief Executive as analysis and research projects are developed and implemented to ensure that the methodology is robust and will contribute to the identification, monitoring and improvement of client outcomes. Research and prepare advice in the form of briefs, policy and discussion papers in response to Ministerial, Cabinet and dept requests.
  • Liaise and work across Dept Divisions and non-government stakeholders to ensure effective interface between program development, planning, service design and policy implementation.
  • Work effectively with team members towards mutual continued development and provide feedback to each other on analysis and research undertaken.

Essential requirements:

  • is of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, and
  • identifies as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, and
  • is accepted as a such by the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal cultural beliefs and attitudes and of the socio-economic position of Aboriginal people within Australian society, and of their impacts in relation to housing. A thorough understanding of the Aboriginal political and historical impacts upon policy developments in NSW and nationally in relation to Aboriginal land rights, and Aboriginal land use.
  • National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014
  • Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012
