About the Role:
Our federal government client is seeking experienced Software Engineers
to join the Data Integration & Engineering (DI&E) Section. You will lead ETL projects, develop optimised code, and provide technical guidance while shaping the architecture of key data systems that support reporting, intelligence analysis, and risk assessment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and document ETL processes and applications
- Analyse and resolve production incidents; perform data profiling and impact assessments
- Conduct code reviews and ensure software quality standards
- Develop technical specifications, system designs, workflows, and deployment plans
- Mentor team members and transfer knowledge to staff
- Level 5 expertise in software development, systems integration, and methods/tools
- Proven ETL development experience (5+ years preferred)
- Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and strong SQL experience
- Experience with IBM Infosphere DataStage, scripting (Perl, SQL, UNIX Shell), and Python
